Most business is conducted in US dollars in Costa Rica. Today,
many currencies like the Loonie, Pound, and Euro are trading at par with, or
much higher than the US dollar. [Even near par mkes it a great opportunity especially if Tico Time and my
estimates are correct, that the Canadian dollar will probably slide another 10 cents
or so over the next year.]
This one reason why investing in vacation property in Costa Rica
has become attractive to so many.
Another driving force is a very low supply of vacation properties
being pursued by a very high number of interested buyers.
The third element that contributes to this perfect investment
climate, as far as our [Los Suenos Tico Time's] Prados del Sol offering is concerned, is the strong
predevelopment pricing discount offered to buyers of these villas.
Buying at the predevelopment phase saves you 7.5% off of
list prices for these units, saving you thousands of dollars up front. [And given the increase in land value
the past year, it is actually MORE than a 7.5% saving on what they will be selling
for when the predevelopment phase is done. But to be honest, I will be shocked if
there are any that will be selling new at that point since it seems all of them
are going to be snapped up over the next couple months.]
Couple predevelopment pricing with the low supply/high demand
environment for vacation property in Costa Rica and it is easy to understand how
you can literally pay yourself to live near the beach and experience the ‘Pura
Vida’, or pure life!
Returns on vacation properties of well over 40% are the
current norm in Costa Rica.
High returns will continue to be the situation for at least five
more years while developers work to bring supply in line with demand. Now is the
time to buy!
