The House that
Peter Built...
OK, so you've heard about the house I built, or maybe you haven't. Construction
started late August 1997 and we moved in February 1999. Work was mostly done in
the evenings (6:00pm-3:00am)
Here's how it began....
You see, I heard all these people saying that "I built a house" or "I'm
building a house." When I looked at them I said to myself, If THEY can build a
house so can I. So I did. Well, actually I didn't, you see, I decided to have
someone else pour the concrete. 5000 square feet of concrete seemed like too
much of a risk for me to do myself.
And then, as I was just getting to the trim stage, what do I hear, but all
these people who said they built a house... They didn't build a house, they
paid a contractor to build it for them!
If only I had known a year before....
