Airmiles - no way to regain your account

AirMiles has an 'impossible' solution to recover your account

So, years ago, Airmiles forced me to have a 4 digit pin. Then sometime along the way they made the pin in a way that required it to be longer. They probably had a grace period (but I don't know that for sure), but I missed it if there was one. So I went to their chat with us section. Under "My Account" they have an option: "Reset your PIN here" with a description that says that if you lost it, to use this link. So I click on that link, and it proceeds to require I enter my pin before it will let me recover a lost pin. Strike 1. So then I phone their help line. After being on the phone for awhile it tells me that there is a 4 hour waiting list and would I like a call back. 4 hours later I get the call back, which then tells me that their offices are open. It asks me "Would you like us to call you back? If so tell us what day and time you want a call back" It offered Monday as the earliest option, so I said Monday at 10:00am. It responds - no can do, would you like to know when the earliest you can get a call back is? I said "sure". It gave me a date and time that I accepted. That time and date was a week ago. Still no call back.

Still can't access my account.

What a wonderful (sarcasm) UX.

Then, on the 'kick him when he is down' they decided that, because I am using my old pin, and my old pin doesn't meet their new (admittedly a few years old - I've been trying occasionally for years to log in after they changed their pin rules) pin rules, I have tried 'too many' times. So they locked my pin.

But don't worry ... I can chat with a LIVE operator. Ah, er, that is, as long as I first provide my pin ...
