Isaiah 9 (parts are quoted in many a Sunday School pageant)
Isaiah 52/53
Was he good looking? The paintings we have today generally make him look like a very handsome, strong, sturdy, good looking man. But No those pictures HAVE to be VERY wrong! Isaiah 53: 2 "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3. He was despised and rejected by men...Like one from whom men hide their faces." cf 52:14
Now to be fair, the "Like one from whom men hide their faces" may have NOTHING to do with his looks, but more what they thought of him, the parts in verse 2 are pretty clear that he was not good looking.
Isaiah 52:13 - My Servant
14: Disfigured
15: Kings will shut their mouths
Isaiah 53:4 Took infirmities, Carried diseases, Took our sorrows
5: Pierced for our transgressions
6: His punishment brought us peace
7: Remained silent
8: no (biological?) children
9: Wicked trick (thieves, tomb)
11/12: Raised again
11/12: bore sin of many (not all!)
