Read the wording of the promise to Abram. Genesis 12:15 But more important Genesis 12:2-3 and 22:17-18
Who was before the Israelites? Noah, Adam & Eve & Abel. Many others. 1st few chapters of Genesis. Lot Gen 19. Esau, The book of Job. A man from Uz. (Ezekiel refers to Job too.)
Isaiah 56:3-8 The foreigner, the Eunuch. All those on Israel's side.
Isaiah 60: 1 & 3 "Arise, Shine, for your light has come...Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn." 10: Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you.
Isaiah 66:19-21 God will send out to proclaim his glory among the nations.
Genesis 12:3 "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse" This promise given BEFORE Abram had any children.
Genesis 17:13-14 Even slaves of Abraham become heirs of the promise And Ishmael - Genesis 17:26. Indeed, Ishmael became heir to the promise before Isaac (because Isaac wasn't born when the covenant of circumcision was initiated, but Ishmael was.) So the Arabs (most of the non-Jews in the middle east) were heirs to the covenant if they kept their part of the deal.
Genesis 18:16-33 - Abraham prays for the people of Sodom - God promises that if even 10 righteous people can be found there. There weren't, but the point is that Abraham knew their might be, and God didn't answer saying "Only your descendants count" he said ,yes "For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it." Unfortunately, not even 10 were found, Only Lot and possibly his family.
Genesis 22:18"and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." I believe Jesus is the primary method by which this was accomplished, but I'm not convinced that that is the only way.
Genesis 28:14 "and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed." Said to Jacob (later Israel). (in the Ladder dream)
